A University of Texas Police
Officer observed a UT student stumbling while staggering hunched over. Student informed the officers he was trying to make his way back to
the Fiji House, not sure of the hunched over part. The officers detected odor of alcohol on the
student and noticed the student was walking west instead of north towards the Fiji location. The student admitted he had been his drink on, but
could not remember how much he had downed big time. The student was taken in for Public Intoxication. During a search a clear
plastic baggie containing a white powdery substance fell out of his
front pocket. Officers recognized the substance to be cocaine. The
student told the officers, he was holding the cocaine, the candy, for a friend.
The student was transported to Central Booking and additional charges of
Possession of a Controlled Substance were filed. Occurred on: 4-14-12,
at 4:31 AM.
