Austin (KXAN) - Austin Police say a man phoned in multiple threats to 911 Saturday threatening to shoot people at Zilker Park.
APD said the man called around noon saying he had automatic weapons and that he planned to kill women, children, and police officers at Zilker Park Saturday.
Officers closed Barton Springs Pool around 2:30 p.m. and reopened the pool an hour later.
Police said they have not found the man responsible for the threats and are currently investigating.

One man died in a shooting in downtown Austin early Easter Sunday, police said.

The suspects fled going west on 10th Street in a dark colored, four-door sedan from the scene of the shooting on Trinity Street between 10th and 11th streets, officials said. Police said they received a 911 call about the shooting at 3:15 a.m.

The man who was shot was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge, where he was pronounced dead, officials said. Police described him only as a black man in his 20s; his identity has not been released.

Detectives are asking the public for help tracking down the shooter. The suspects are described as three to four men and a woman who left the scene driving south on Trinity Street in a black sedan. The sedan then turned west down 10th Street.

[Updated 3:29 p.m.]ATF spokesman Thomas Ahern confirms to CNN that seven people were shot by a lone gunman at the Azana Hair Salon and Spa. "Employees said a man entered the salon, workers saw a firearm - a handgun of some sort," Ahern told CNN's Susan Candiotti. "An employee said to the gunman something like, 'If you're gonna rob the place, rob the place,' and then (the gunman) opened fire." [Updated 2:24 p.m.] FBI and ATF agents are among the authorities at the scene, CNN affiliate WISN reports.

[Updated 1:32 p.m.] Hospital spokeswoman Nalissa Wienke tells CNN all four people in the emergency room appear to have non-critical injuries.  She could not say whether the injuries were due to gunshots.  At this time, the hospital does not believe it will need more staff, she said.
[Updated 1:28 p.m.] Numerous emergency vehicles are at a spa in Brookfield, Wisconsin, as local news agencies report a shooting took place.
Four people are in an emergency room, and another three are on their way, said Beth Strohbusch of Froedtert Hospital in nearby Milwaukee.
CNN affiliate WTMJ says the Waukesha Sheriff's Department confirmed there was a shooting, and that witnesses say it was either at or near the Azana Salon and Spa, which is across the road from Brookfield Square Mall.

Being Rude in a McDonald parking lot gets man shot in the knee

Saturday afternoon, Police arrested a man they say shot another man in his knee.  North Austin McDonald’s parking lot Saturday afternoon is where it went down.

About 3:10 p.m. Saturday, two men were “being rude” to a woman in the parking lot of the McDonald’s on 12443 Metric Boulevard.

According to an arrest affidavit the woman’s friend confronted one of the men.  That's when a man later identified as Louis Lawrence pulled out a black handgun and shot the woman’s friend below his left knee and then Louis Lawrence drove off with another man.

Louis Lawrence, 22, was in custody Sunday morning. His bail for the second-degree felony is set at $300,000.

Update: Shooting victim may have tried to stop robbery at strip club

Update 8:30 a.m.: Police officials say the victim in this morning’s fatal shooting outside a South Austin strip club was a bystander who may have tried to stop a robbery.
Police spokesman Cpl. Anthony Hipolito said police received a 911 call about a shooting at the Palazio strip club on Ben White Boulevard around 1:15 a.m. When they arrived, officers found a deceased white man near the front entrance who had been shot, Hipolito said.
Hipolito said the victim may have tried to tried to intervene in the suspect’s attempt to rob the strip club. After a brief struggle, the victim was fatally shot, Hipolito said.
Police did not have a detailed description of the suspect, who fled the scene.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Homicide Tip Line at 512-477-3588.
Earlier:Austin police are investigating an early morning homicide that happened at the Palazio strip club at 501 East Ben White Boulevard near South Congress Avenue.
According to preliminary reports from police officials, a man walked into the strip club around 1:15 a.m. with a gunshot wound saying he had been robbed. He was later died at the scene, officials said.
No immediate information was available about the victim or the suspect. Check back for more details.

Trayvon Martin Witness

ORLANDO - A witness we haven't heard from before paints a much different picture than we've seen so far of what happened the night 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot and killed.

The night of that shooting, police say there was a witness who saw it all.

Our sister station, FOX 35 in Orlando, has spoken to that witness.

What Sanford Police investigators have in the folder, they put together on the killing of Trayvon Martin few know about.

The file now sits in the hands of the state attorney. Now that file is just weeks away from being opened to a grand jury.

It shows more now about why police believed that night that George Zimmerman shouldn't have gone to jail.

Zimmerman called 911 and told dispatchers he was following a teen. The dispatcher told Zimmerman not to.

And from that moment to the shooting, details are few.

But one man's testimony could be key for the police.

"The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: 'help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911," he said.

Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red.

The witness only wanted to be identified as "John," and didn't not want to be shown on camera.

His statements to police were instrumental, because police backed up Zimmerman's claims, saying those screams on the 911 call are those of Zimmerman.

"When I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point," John said.

Zimmerman says the shooting was self defense. According to information released on the Sanford city website, Zimmerman said he was going back to his SUV when he was attacked by the teen.

Sanford police say Zimmerman was bloody in his face and head, and the back of his shirt was wet and had grass stains, indicating a struggle took place before the shooting.
