On Friday March 23, 2012, Austin Police officers responded to a bank robbery at the Capital Credit Union located at 133 East Ben White Boulevard.
A preliminary investigation shows that a female entered the bank, displayed a firearm and demanded cash. The suspect left the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as:
5’05” in height
Thin to medium build
She was last seen wearing a maroon hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, black gloves and a black mask.
This case remains under investigation by APD Robbery detectives. You may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if your tip leads to an arrest or charges being filed. This is the fourth bank robbery of 2012. At this time in 2011, there were nine bank robberies.
