Date: Saturday, March 17, 2012
Time: 7 p.m.
Location: 1900 block of East 13th Street
Deceased: Nicholas Jarmon, Black Male, (D.O.B. 12-29-1979)
Narrative:
On, Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 7 p.m. Austin Police patrolling the area heard what they believed to be gunfire. They went to investigate and found the victim down on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound in the 1900 block of E. 13th Street.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as:
Nicholas Jarmon, Black male, (D. O. B. 12-29-1979)
Homicide detectives quickly gathered information and took statements from witnesses. A suspect, Parrish Wyatt, Black male, (D. O. B. 11-04-1989), has been charged with Murder, a 1st degree felony. Bond is set at $ 1,000,000.
The suspect is currently not in custody.
This case is being investigated by the APD Homicide Unit. Deceased: Chester Martin Mumford Jr., Black Male, (D.O.B. 11/12/1965)
Narrative:
On, Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 1:15 a.m. Austin Police responded to a stabbing at 924 E. 51st Street.
The victim was found in the parking lot of the apartment complex with trauma to his body. Austin Travis County EMS attempted life saving measures and transported the victim to the University Medical Center at Brackenridge where he was pronounced deceased.
The victim has been identified as:
Chester Martin Mumford Jr., Black male, (D. O. B. 11/12/1965).
He is known by the name “Omar”.
This case is being investigated by the APD Homicide Unit and detectives are asking anyone with information about the victim or this case to call the Homicide Tip Line at 512-477-3588 or Crimestoppers at 512-472-TIPS or text "Tip 103" + your message to CRIMES.
