The Rainbow Killer Caught

Austin Police have made an arrest in the 360 Condo homicide investigation.

Allegedly Matthew Henry Bacon has been arrested in West Monroe, LA  under drug possession charges.  Matthew Henry Bacon is also being questioned as a suspect in the Austin homicide investigation dubbed on the street as The Rainbow Killer.

Police claim  Matthew Henry Bacon confessed after leaving the late night club with David Villarreal and after returning to the 360 condos and seeing David Villareal's electronics and condo.  Matthew Henry Bacon killed Matthew Henry Bacon with a hammer and cutting his throat.

"Please come forward. God will forgive you. We will forgive you. Just do the right thing. Help us have closure," said Melissa Villarreal Zavala, the victim's aunt. 

The victim, David Villarreal, 36, was found in the 360 Condos on Nueces Street near 3rd Street with signs of trauma to his body.

"It was not like him to not respond right away," said Michael Hamilton, Villarreal's friend.
Police say surveillance video shows the suspect leaving Oil Can Harry's with Villarreal Saturday night. The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s to early 30s. He has a slender to medium body build and is believed to be between 5'7" and 5'10" in height. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue plaid shorts.

 Bacon is currently being held in the West Monroe, LA jail with a $500,000 bond.
